The members of a BAN are very essential for the quality, the integrity, the credibility and the efficiency of a BAN, since they constitute the BAN and “represent” in a way the philosophy of the BAN. The members are the ones that will invest in the investment targets (Gazelles in our case), will participate in the operation of each investee company and will, in some cases, co-invest with other investors (Business Angels, Private Equity, Venture Capital etc). Their ability to play these roles efficiently, are also affecting the BANs efficiency and determine the reputation of the BAN.  

For these reasons, certain guidelines and critical factors should be used during the selection process for new members in the BAN.
